Whistler Family Photography Session | The McKnight Family

This summer I had the opportunity to photograph the lovely McKnight family - Brennan, Ian, Evie, Joey, their new addition to the family Theo (AKA Teddy!) and Hank their dog. Brennan was given the family photo session as a baby shower gift - If you are looking for gift ideas - email me and I can set up a gift certificate for you!

We met at Nicklaus North Golf course, just north of Whistler village, then took a short stroll down towards the spit on Green Lake (also known as Fitzsimmons Fan Park). This area of Whistler is a perfect place for a family photo session - there is plenty of space for the kids to run around, and it doesn’t matter if it’s busy as there are lots of great background options. The great thing about meeting here is the restaurant and patio at Nicklaus North, Table Nineteen, is amazing and a perfect spot for dinner after your photo session.

As soon as we got to the sand bar beach along the river, Evie and Joey were barefoot and straight in the water, followed by swinging each other around while Brennan and Ian watched in the background - I love capturing these real moments during a family photo session.
We were lucky to have a beautiful sunset during the photo session, this area of Whistler is one of the few places to offer this as the sun disappears behind the mountains before you know it!

There can be many reasons that families decide to have a professional photography session, including birthdays, anniversaries or other milestone events in your life. But who says you need a reason to take photos together as a family?

Here are some of my favourite photos from this Whistler family photo session.
