If you’re looking for a wedding venue with a ‘Wow’ factor then the Sea to Sky Gondola in Squamish is definitely it!
The Sea to Sky Gondola takes you up to the summit and offers amazing views of the Howe Sound and surrounding mountains. Once you’re at the top there are numerous hiking trails and viewpoints to explore!
I met L & V at the Executive Hotel for getting ready photos with their families. Leah wore pearls given to her from her grandparents - the note on the box read ‘To the next granddaughter who gets married’ - I love all the different sentimental items saved for wedding days, and it’s so important to have them ready for me to photograph too!
Squamish Wedding Venue with Mountain Views
After getting a few photos with some of the wedding party and families, we then headed to the gondola, which is only a short drive from the hotel. I headed up with Vincent & the groomsmen to the first look location. We picked an area along one of the many trails the Sea to Sky Gondola has at the summit.
Leah & Vincent shared their ‘First Look’ and then we walked to the most beautiful viewpoint - the Chief Overlook Viewing Platform. - it has amazing views of the Howe Sound and Stawamus Chief.
Leah’s dress was absolutely stunning and this location was perfect to show it in all it’s ‘twirling’ glory! (Check out some of her spins below!)
One of the perks of getting married at the summit of the Sea to Sky Gondola after regular operating hours is you get the venue all to yourself - this meant we had all these great viewpoints all to ourselves!
The wedding ceremony took place on the main Octagon deck - which is only available for ceremonies taking place outside of regular operating hours. Again, the views were stunning - what an amazing ceremony location!
It was so wonderful to see a larger wedding after so many restrictions in place over the last year.
After the ceremony I took L & V over the Sky Pilot Suspension Bridge to another great lookout over the Howe Sound and surrounding mountains.
Sunset Views at The Sea to Sky Gondola
We were treated to the most beautiful sunset that day - I snuck L & V away from their dinner for a couple more photos during this golden moment. I highly recommend allowing some time during sunset for photos - even if it’s 10 minutes!
